Little Joseph
Joseph Galloudec seven years, lives in the eighteenth floor of a building in the Paris suburbs, between his mother Julia and her father Jean-Claude, a computer engineer and communist militant. His parents experiencing marital problems and his mother soon to give birth, he left for the summer holidays with his grandparents and three uncles, turbulent triplets. He discovers the castles of the Loire, Brittany and England. Upon his return, he met his sister Elisa, but her parents and tear her mother eventually left the home.

Clan Feuds
Two young lovers, Yun Keng and Ching Shuang belong to opposing clans. Their relationship is a secret for a time. Once Master Diao, head of the Great Banner Clan, learns of this treachery he must execute his son by way of quartering. Ti Zhong Tang as well as Yun’s hot headed brother, Yun Zheng try and coax the old man out of having his son put to death but to no avail. Just before the act is carried out, Ti knocks Yun Keng unconscious and he is willingly replaced by one of his brothers who is quickly killed. Master Diao and Ti swear to reveal the truth to no one. Ti vows to locate the whereabouts of the beautiful Ching Shuang so the two can be reunited in the hopes that their love will one day rebuild the Great Banner Clan.

An Officer and a Gentleman
Zack Mayo is an aloof, taciturn man who aspires to be a navy pilot. Once he arrives at training camp for his 13-week officer’s course, Mayo runs afoul of abrasive, no-nonsense drill Sergeant Emil Foley. Mayo is an excellent cadet, but a little cold around the heart, so Foley rides him mercilessly, sensing that the young man would be prime officer material if he weren’t so self-involved. Zack’s affair with a working girl is likewise compromised by his unwillingness to give of himself.

Passing Flickers
The main characters – the arrogant, harassed director, the sexy starlet, or naïve actors are familiar enough stereotypes. Along the way however, there is some fun to be had as more humorous incidents occur on the sound stage, together with dashes of nudity. Some of the events are presumably inspired by real life experiences, others have a distinct air of wishful fabrication. The over-the-top Kung Fu star, deserted by director and crew as he goes through his pointless extended routine, for instance. Or the action heroes, sweating in furs while they dutifully munch through their meal scene, ‘snow’ falling outside in studio land.

Things Against the Law
Raouf gets involved with Azhar in their relationship, graduates and appoints a detective, Raouf abandons Azhar, and marries Rashid’s daughter Siham. Azhar marries the pimp Zaghlol, and he forces her to work with him. Raouf surprised Azhar is accused in a case of prostitution. He regrets his abandonment, and stands with her.
