Coyote Summer
Teenage Callie has a wild streak. When her mother goes to London on business, she sends Callie to her sister’s ranch for a dose of hard work and responsibility. Callie is sullen, at first, naturally, but perks up at the sight of a beautiful but wild black horse. When she overhears of the horse’s destruction, due to his inability to be tamed, she arranges to steal the horse with a fellow ranch hand named Rafe. In hiding, the two begin to calm the horse and start his training. It works. But, will their hideaway be discovered?

A 14 year old boy named Gunther moves to a small town with his parents and little brother. He meets up with a group of overly charitable paper boys who want him to sub for their friend while he’s out of town. Gunther agrees so he can get enough money for concert tickets to take his blonde and beautiful crush too, all the while dealing with Chad, her wannabe boyfriend and his bully friends. All in all, Gunther learns to respect himself and other people and to have fun during it all.

On the bus are an eclectic set of characters including a laid-off aircraft worker, a man whose at-risk son is handcuffed to him, a black Republican, a former gangsta, a Hollywood actor, a cop who is of mixed racial background, and a white bus driver. All make the trek discussing issues surrounding the march, including manhood, religion, politics, and race.
