Janet converted to Islam as soon as she married her lover; Syawal Fitri. However, their marriage was allegedly opposed by Syawal’s mother – Puan Sri Rafidah – who also forced Syawal to accept her chosen daughter-in-law – Munirah – as second wife to Janet.
